The BSN degree prepares the professional nurse for leadership roles in various patient care capacities and agencies. Graduates function with baccalaureate competencies in delivering nursing care and assisting in the improvement of health care delivery systems. The BSN degree will aid current RNs in further developing their expertise, competencies, and leadership skills as well as prepare them to enter graduate level programs.
In less than two years, you will earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in our hybrid, accelerated degree program. The RN to BSN program has been developed to accommodate the schedule and needs of the working RN. Each course meets one night a week in class for eight weeks, with the remainder conducted online. The only exception is your final course in the program which will run 16 weeks (a regular semester). You may take classes at our Main Campus in Rockford, Illinois or take classes at one of our satellite locations in *Dixon, Illinois (held at Sauk Valley Community College) and *Freeport, Illinois (held at Highland Community College). *Courses offerings are based on seat availability.
