Personal Statement

Nancy Kertz comes to Saint Anthony College of Nursing with an extensive background of nurse practitioner and faculty experience.  She has a background in online teaching, curriculum development and advanced practice nursing education.  Dr. Kertz has experience as a program coordinator for a doctor of nursing practice (DNP) and RN-BSN program.  She is a family nurse practitioner, who for the last several years has specialized in the field of pediatric child abuse.  Her dissertation research was in the area of child maltreatment.  Dr. Kertz has presented at numerous national conferences, and most recently received the Excellence in Scholarship Award from University of South Dakota and the Excellence in Teaching Award from South Dakota State University.
